Faris F. Abusharif, MD

Dr. Abusharif received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School and completed his general surgery and anesthesia residencies at St. Joseph Hospital and the University of Illinois respectively. He subsequently completed his Pain Management fellowship also at the university of Illinois and has developed an outstanding reputation among his patients and peers since starting to practice Pain Management in 2005.
Larry Najera, MD
“As a Physiatrist, my ultimate goal is to maximize function, mobility and quality of life so that patients can live fully with their pain well-controlled. My areas of interest include injured workers, electrodiagnostics (EMG/NCS), musculoskeletal disorders, sports medicine, interventional spine, migraines and spasticity.” Dr. Najera received his MD at the University of Vermont. He completed an internship in General Surgery, Trauma Surgery & Critical Care at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu and finished residency in Chicago at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital, an academic affiliate of the University of Chicago. He is board certified in Physiatry (PM&R).
Anas Alzoobi, MD
Dr. Alzoobi has over 20 years of experience and is board certified in anesthesiology. He received his medical degree from the University of Damascus and completed his residency and fellowship at the Cook County Hospital.
Udit V. Patel, DO
Dr. Patel received a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University and his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. He received Intern of the Year and Resident of the Year awards and was appointed Chief Resident of his intern and resident classes. Dr. Patel finished his postgraduate training with a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management from the University of Michigan in 2007. A leader among pain management physicians, Dr. Patel’s area of interest include interventional treatment for post-laminectomy syndrome, spinal arthritis, and neuromodulation.
Donald Ronald, MD

Nitin Malhotra, MD
Dr. Malhotra is an expert diagnostician of chronic pain syndromes and utilizes a multifaceted approach to treatment that may include interventional procedures, medical management, physical and psychological therapy and alternative remedies. Dr. Malhotra is double board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Originally from the Western Suburbs of Chicago, he received his Medical Doctorate degrees at Saint Louis University. He followed this by completing residency in Anesthesiology at University of Louisville where he served as Chief Resident and a Fellow in Pain Medicine at the University of Chicago.
Samir Sharma, MD
Dr. Sharma brings significant experience in treating the most difficult pain syndromes. Special interventional interests include facet neurotomy for spinal arthritis pain, minimally invasive herniated disc decompression, radio-frequency ablation for neuropathic pain, and spinal cord stimulation for failed back surgery syndrome. He received his medical degree from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed his residency at Rush University.
Zaki Anwar, MD
Dr. Anwer engages in all modalities of pain management with expertise in implantable technology, fluoroscopic guided needle placement, epiduralysis, and reflex sympathetic dystrophy. He is actively involved in cancer pain management research in addition to being an anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist. He received his medical degree from Dow Medical College and completed his anesthesiology residency at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Elton Dixon, MD
Dr. Dixon is practiced at a wide range of medical procedures including epidural steroid injections, major joint injections, and EMG/NCV testing.
